Matt Rosner

Matt Rosner enters his fourth season as head coach of the Shepherd men’s tennis team. Rosner took over the head coaching duties for the Rams in the fall of 2018.

Rosner brings an extensive background as a player and a coach to Shepherd.

Rosner played two years of tennis at James Madison University and also was a teammate of NBA standout Grant Hill on the South Lakes (Va.) High School basketball team.

Rosner played professionally on the ATP Tour and boasts an impressive background in sports marketing with his work with Sport Productions, Inc. along with SBA Worldwide and the Street Basketball Association.

Rosner’s coaching experience includes a stint as a professional tennis coach in the ATP Satellite Tour (1996-97). Additionally, he coached professional basketball for the SBA All-Stars from 1999-2012 and was an assistant varsity basketball coach at Fauquier (Va.) High School (2005-07). Rosner also served as head tennis coach at Millbrook (Va.) High School (2006-07).

Rosner is a 1994 graduate of James Madison with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
