Meghan Keelan

Meghan Keelan enters her fourth season as head coach of the Shepherd women’s lacrosse program. Keelan has a 31-16 (.660) mark over her career at Shepherd. Her 31 career victories are the most in program history.

Shepherd recorded a 10-6 mark in 2014. The Rams ranked third in draw controls (16.19) and sixth in scoring offense (15.88). Additionally, five players were named to the Division II All-Independent First Team


The Rams posted a 10-6 record in 2013 and sophomore Georgia Karr was named Division All-Independent Player of the Year. The Rams ranked first in scoring offense (17.31) and third in draw controls (16.06).

Keelan led the Rams to a record-setting 11-4 mark in 2012 in the program’s third season. Shepherd was ranked fourth nationally in scoring offense (17.40), seventh in draw controls (16.00), 12th in win percentage (.733), and 14th in scoring margin (4.00).

Keelan came to Shepherd after spending three years as an assistant at Division I Bucknell University. Her coaching responsibilities at Bucknell included offensive coordination, recruiting, film exchange, scouting, game-planning, fund-raising, and academic supervision.

Keelan was a four-year player at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A 2008 graduate of UMBC, she was a team captain as a senior and led the Retrievers in assists for two seasons. Keelan is ranked 11th on the UMBC career assists list and posted the sixth and 10th best single season assists marks.
