Shepherd University Athletics

Entering his second season as an assistant coach with the women's soccer team is Anthony Tirri.

A Colonia, New Jersey native, Tirri graduated college from Caldwell University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in sociology.  He was a four-year member of the Caldwell University men’s soccer program from 2016-2019 and 2021.
 
Prior to Shepherd, Tirri coached at the academy level for five years at Valencia Soccer Academy based out of Metuchen, NJ where he trained academy and travel boys and girl sides from 2014-2019. he was hired as a goalkeeper director for Modern Goalkeeper Training Systems based out of Holmdel, NJ in 2019. Tirri was hired as head varsity high school coach for St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Edison, NJ in 2020..  He served as the Volunteer Women’s Goalkeeper trainer for Caldwell University women’s soccer team in the Spring of 2021.
 
Tirri has received his USSF “D” License (United States Soccer Federation) and Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma (United Soccer Coaches). He is  currently pursuing a  Foundation of Coaches Diploma (United Soccer Coaches) and a Special Topics Diploma: Sports Psychology (United Soccer Coaches).
 
He is currently pursuing his M.B.A with an expected graduation date of December 2023
