Chuck Ingram was introduced on Jan. 23, 2018 as the head men's golf coach for the Rams.
The 2021-22 team won the Cardinal Classic and placed seventh at the PSAC Championships, Additionally, Shepherd's Mason Kidwell qualified for regional play and placed 34th at the NCAA II Atlantic/East Region Championships.
The 2020-21 team won a pair of tournaments with victories in the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invite and the Cecil Spadafora Invitational. The Rams placed third at the PSAC Championships and competed in the 2021 Atlantic/East Regional Tournament. Additionally, Shepherd gained medalist honors three times on the season with Owen Elliott earning a pair and Chris Neighbors gaining another.
In 2019 Shepherd standout golfer Owen Elliott competed in the Atlantic/East Regional Tournament and finished second.
Ingram was inducted into the Washington County Golf Hall of Fame in August 2020. Ingram was one of four inductees.
No stranger to Shepherd athletics, Ingram served as an assistant men's basketball coach for the Rams from 2008-12. Ingram worked at the Anderson Creek Golf Course from 2004-08 in several capacities and has also worked at nearby Cress Creek Country Club.
Ingram is one of the top amateur golfers in West Virginia and has competed in many of the state's top events. He placed 11th at the 2017 West Virginia Senior Open.
Ingram boasts an impressive list of victories including the WACO Championship (1991), Beaver Creek Invitational (1999), Black Rock Championship (2000, 2002), Washington County Amateur (2002), Beaver Creek Club Championship (1993, 1999), and the Harnett County (NC) Championship (2007). He won nine events in the Harris Teeter Senior Amateur Tour and captured three events in the Keller Williams Amateur Tour.
A graduate of Boonsboro (Md.) High School, Ingram assisted with the Warriors basketball team from 1988-2000.
