Box Score URBANA, Ohio  –  Shepherd University handed Urbana a 3-1 setback in Mountain East Conference volleyball action at Urbana on Saturday. The Rams recorded a 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-22 victory.

Senior right side Valerie Bour (Willoughby Hills, Ohio/Willoughby South) and junior outside hitter Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) each had 15 kills and 12 digs to pace the Rams.

Freshman right side/setter Kayleigh Helgesen (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino) added 13 kills, while senior middle hitter Kayla Motheral (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) added nine. Senior setter Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) recorded 51 assists and junior outside hitter/libero Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) contributed 13 digs and three aces.

Katlynn Dunlap had 19 kills and four blocks to lead the Blue Knights.

Shepherd improves to 16-8, 9-3 in MEC action, while Urbana drops to 12-13, 8-4. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Fairmont State for a 7 p.m. match.
