FAIRMONT, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan downed Shepherd University, 7-1, in MEC tennis action at Fairmont on Saturday.

Senior Stacy Brewbaker (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) and sophomore Jill Spuria (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) teamed for a 9-7 win at number three doubles.

The Shepherd women fall to 1-7, 1-4 in conference action. The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to West Liberty for an 11 a.m. match.
