Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  – Rachel Engler scored five goals and Alex O'Herrick added three to lead seventh-ranked Lock Haven (1-0) to a 14-4 win over Shepherd University (0-3) in women's lacrosse action at Lock Haven on Saturday.

Junior midfielder Courtney Schwiegerath (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) and junior attacker Alex Green (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) each had a goal and an assist to pace the Rams.

Senior midfielder/attacker Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) and sophomore midfielder Sarah Wendt (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) each added single goals for the Rams.

Senior netminder Savannah Shores (Trappe, Md./Easton) recorded 12 saves for the Rams. Shores also added team highs of seven ground balls and five caused turnovers. Hannah Houde had six saves for the Bald Eagles.

Lock Haven had a 6-1 advantage at halftime.

Lock Haven had a 23-16 edge in ground balls and an 11-7 advantage in draw controls. The Bald Eagles had a 34-13 advantage in shots.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Mercyhurst for a 3 p.m. match.
