SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (7-7, 2-3 MEC) handed Concord (0-3, 0-1 MEC) an 8-1 setback in Mountain East Conference men's tennis action at Shepherd on Friday.

Junior Will Wheatley (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three singles and teamed with junior Lewis Charette (Atlanta, Ga./Pike County) for an 8-0 win at number two doubles to pace the Rams.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host UVa-Wise at 10 a.m. and Salem International at 12:30 p.m.
