BELLE VERNON, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team placed ninth in a 13-team field at the Vulcan Invitational hosted by California (Pa.) at the Cedarbrook Golf Course. West Liberty took team honors led by medalist Matt Iceton (211).

Shepherd was led by senior Ryan Crabtree (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) who fired a two-round total of 216 to finish in third place. He was followed by senior Erik Williams (Frederick, Md./Middletown) (229, T-29th), junior Brandon Dang (Berryville, Va./Clarke County) (233, T-46th), freshman Mike Graessle (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) (239, T-55th), and freshman Trey Euler (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) (241, T-60th).

The Rams return to action on Sept.12-13 when they compete at the Glade Springs Invitational in Daniels, W.Va.
