FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Shepherd University (21-6, 10-4 MEC) recorded a 3-1 (34-32, 25-13, 23-25, 25-20) win over Fairmont State (19-10, 9-5 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at Fairmont State on Tuesday night.
Sophomore outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) recorded a match-high 26 kills with a .420 attack percentage to pace the Rams. She added seven blocks (three solo) and four digs. Senior outside hitter Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) added 16 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) added 12 kills and 13 digs.
Sophomore setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) recorded 56 assists, four aces, and 12 digs. Sophomore libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) contributed 12 digs.
Mackenzie Harrison had 18 kills and Megan Clerico had 38 digs to lead the Fighting Falcons. Taylor Wisniewski added 11 kills.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. match.
