ATHENS, W.Va. – Shepherd University (17-5, 6-2 MEC) rallied for a 21-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 victory over Concord (4-19, 1-7 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at Concord on Friday evening. The Rams posted their eighth straight win.
Freshman middle hitter Olivia Waszak (Saint Johns, Mich./Saint Johns) recorded 15 kills and junior outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) added 14 to lead the Rams. Sophomore middle hitter Nicole Murray (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) chipped in with 10 kills.
Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) contributed 54 assists, while junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) had 17 digs.
Brooke Heck had 14 kills and Erin Shannon added 19 digs for the Mountain Lions. Jenna Mounts added 35 assists and nine digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to UVa-Wise for a 1 p.m. match.
