SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (19-6, 7-3 MEC) dropped a 25-16, 27-25, 21-25, 25-21 decision to #20 Wheeling Jesuit (23-3, 10-0 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night.
Junior outside hitter
Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) led the Rams with 28 kills and 13 digs. Junior outside hitter
Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) added 14 kills, while sophomore middle hitter
Nicole Murray (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) had 10.
Senior setter
Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) contributed 45 assists and 10 digs, while junior libero
Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) had 16 digs.
Cassie Meyer had 20 kills and 19 digs, while Haley Kramer added 18 kills to pace the Cardinals. Stephanie Sylvester had 54 assists, while Audrey Fancis had a match-high 30 digs.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Seton Hill for a 7 p.m. match.
