SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Shepherd University (19-8, 8-3 MEC) dropped a 3-1 decision (25-18, 15-25, 25-19, 25-23) to Notre Dame College (14-13, 6-5 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at Notre Dame on Thursday night.
Junior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) had 17 kills and 13 digs, while junior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) added 14 kills to pace the Rams.
Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) contributed 43 assists, 11 digs, and three aces, while junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) had 23 digs. Freshman outside hitter Alex Farnsworth (Las Vegas, Nev./Liberty) added 12 digs.
Mary Kate McHugh had 22 kills and 11 digs to pace the Falcons. Alexandra Kaeberlein added 27 digs and Riley Coleman had 11.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Urbana for a 6 p.m. match.
