URBANA, Ohio – Shepherd University (19-9, 8-5 MEC) dropped a 3-1 decision (25-22, 25-18, 18-25, 25-22) to Urbana (19-9, 8-4 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at Urbana on Friday night.
Junior outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) had nine kills to lead the Rams. Junior outside hitters Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) and Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) each added eight kills. Hill also added four blocks and three aces.
Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) contributed 43 assists and 10 digs. Junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) topped the Rams with 28 digs.
Madison Davis had 17 kills and Kaitlin Trace added 12 to pace the Blue Knights. Courtney Niesen contributed 30 digs.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Fairmont State for a 7 p.m. match.
