SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (14-5, 4-2 MEC) recorded a 25-10, 25-17, 25-18 victory over West Virginia State (14-6, 3-2 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night.
Junior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) had 14 kills and 10 digs to lead the Rams. Sophomore middle hitter Nicole Murray (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) and junior outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) each added seven kills.
Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) recorded 42 assists, while junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) had 17 digs.
Jenna Dufresne had seven kills and six digs for the Yellow Jackets. Tabi Pontious added five kills, 15 assists, and five digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Charleston at 2 p.m.
