Shepherd Volleyball Rallies Past Charleston

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Shepherd University (15-5, 5-2 MEC) recorded a 17-25, 25-11, 25-20, 26-24 victory over the University of Charleston (9-12, 5-2 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday afternoon.

Junior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) had 18 kills and 12 digs to lead the Rams. Junior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) added 11 kills and freshman middle hitter Georgia Ohmke (Falls Church, Va./Justice) added 10.

Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) had 45 assists and seven digs, while junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) contributed 13 digs and four aces.

Rachel Phelan had 16 kills and Amy Hu added 20 assists for the Golden Eagles. Kelsey Matusic added 11 digs.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to West Chester for a 7 p.m. match.
