Shepherd Men’s Soccer Falls to Urbana

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Jasminko Dizdarevic scored a pair of goals to lead Urbana (6-4-2, 5-2-2 MEC) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (1-11-0, 0-9-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Shepherd on Sunday afternoon.

Urbana took a 1-0 lead at the 4:42 mark when Josh Neal scored on a pass from Leon Nelson at the 21:43 mark.

Dizdarevic scored on an assist from Jake Wischmeyer at the 28:00 mark and added another on a penalty kick at the 33:25 mark.

Freshman goalkeeper Michael Lemay (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) recorded seven saves for the Rams. Jakob Hendriksen (2) and Nathan Hart (2) combined for four saves for the Blue Knights.

Urbana had an 18-7 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for an 8 p.m. match.
