URBANA, Ohio –  Jasminko Dizdarevic scored a pair of goals to lift Urbana (3-2-1, 2-1-1 MEC) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (0-6-0, 0-4-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Urbana on Sunday.

Dizdarevic scored on a feed from Jake Wischmeyer at the 17:13 mark and added an unassisted score at the 42:13 mark to give the Blue Knights a 2-0 lead at the break.

Urbana added a second-half score on an unassisted tally by Alfonso Veira at the 46:52 mark.

Freshman goalkeeper Jose Machado Orrellana (Falls Church, Va./J.E.B. Stuart) recorded nine saves for the Rams. Jakob Hendriksen recorded a save for the Blue Knights.

Urbana had a 20-1 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Charleston for a 4 p.m. contest.
