Shepherd Volleyball Outlasts Urbana in Five Sets

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Shepherd University (13-5, 3-2 MEC) recorded a 25-11, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19 victory over Urbana (13-7, 2-3 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.

Junior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) led the Rams with 22 kills.  Junior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) had 14 and junior outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) added 12. Hill added 10 digs.

Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) had 54 assists and 14 digs, while junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) had 34 digs.

Madison Davis had 20 kills for the Blue Knights. Hannah Delor added 16 kills and 18 digs, while Courtney Niesen added 22 digs.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host West Virginia State at 7 p.m.
