SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Monica Wood scored a goal and assisted on another to lead East Stroudsburg (7-3-0, 6-3-0 PSAC East) to a 2-1 win over Shepherd University (0-9-2, 0-8-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday afternoon.
East Stroudsburg took a 1-0 lead into the break when Hailee Reinhardt scored on a pass from Wood at the 6:29 mark.
The Warriors add second half from Jules Sicker and Wood to complete the scoring.
Sophomore goalkeepers Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (4 saves, 1 GA) and Meghan Byers (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring) (8 saves, 2 GA) combined for 12 saves for the Rams. Mauri Jackson had a pair of saves for the Warriors.
East Stroudsburg had a 30-6 advantage in shots and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Kutztown for a 3 p.m. contest.
