Shepherd Women’s Soccer Topped by Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Maggie Cacere scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Kutztown (6-5-0, 5-5-0 PSAC East) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (0-10-2, 0-9-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Kutztown on Wednesday afternoon.

Kutztown took a 1-0 lead into the break when Cacere scored on a pass from Anna Hull at the 9:25 mark.

The Golden Bears added second half from Rachel Rizzo and Emily Zwiercan to complete the scoring.

Sophomore goalkeeper  Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield)  recorded 11 saves for the Rams. Jenna Bracken did not post a save for the Golden Bears.

Kutztown had a 31-2 advantage in shots and a 14-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host West Chester at 3:30 p.m. for Senior Day.
