SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University volleyball team (20-1, 8-1 PSAC ) reached the 20-win mark with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-15, 23-25, 27-25) win over Mercyhurst (13-6, 5-3 PSAC) in PSAC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night.
Senior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) led the Rams with 20 kills and 10 digs. Senior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend)Â Â added 11 kills and a match high four aces.
Junior setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) contributed 46 assists and seven digs. Senior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) posted a match-high 25 digs and freshman middle blocker Elyssia Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) recorded a match-high five blocks.
Katie Baird had 19 kills and Tess Ganish added eight to lead the Lakers. Claire Kenny contributed 29 assists and 15 digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Edinboro for a 4 p.m. match.
