LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University (0-6-2, 0-6-1 PSAC East) and Lock Haven (1-3-2, 1-3-1 PSAC East) battled to a 1-1 tie in PSAC East women's soccer action at Lock Haven on Wednesday.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead into intermission when freshman forward/midfielder Sara Hohn (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) scored an on a pass from junior midfielder Maddy McClellan (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Washington) at the 34:01 mark.
Lock Haven tied the game when Marley Sprenkel scored on a pass from Josie Swartz at the 45:02 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) had eight saves for the Rams. Karly Trillhaase recorded two saves for the Bald Eagles.
Lock Haven had a 25-8 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Millersville at 3:30 p.m. for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
