LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Andrea DiSomma scored his third goal of the game at the 60:19 mark to lift Lock Haven (5-6-0, 2-3-0 PSAC East) to a 4-3 win over Shepherd (2-8-1, 0-4-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Lock Haven on Wednesday night.
Lock Haven took a 1-0 lead when DiSomma scored on a pass from Justin Douglas at the 6:02 mark.
The Bald Eagles took a 2-0 advantage when DiSomma scored on a pass from Ivo Klaric at the 6:37 mark.
Shepherd cut the lead to 2-1 when sophomore forward Steven Zeballos Choque (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) found the back of the net on a feed from sophomore midfielder Shamar Robinson (Mount Vernon, NY/Mount Vernon) at the 9:50 mark.
The Rams tied the game at 2-2 when sophomore defender Brandon Hurt (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) scored on a pass from Robinson at the 51:13 mark.
Lock Haven took a 3-2 lead when Klaric scored off a feeed from Beckham Sibiski at the 56:40 mark.
Junior forward Carlos Castillo (Columbia/Blue Ridge CC) tied the game for the Rams on a pass from Choque at the 58:39 mark.
Freshman netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded five saves for the Rams. Camden Cook posted a save for the Bald Eagles.
Lock Haven had a 18-11 advantage in shots, while Shepherd had a 9-5 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 3:30 p.m..contest.
