Shepherd Volleyball Sweeps Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Shepherd University (24-3, 12-3 PSAC ) recorded a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15) win over Bloomsburg (8-20, 3-12 PSAC) in PSAC volleyball action at Bloomsburg on Friday night.

Senior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend)  had 12 kills to pace the Rams. Junior middle hitter Nicole Murray (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) added nine kills, while freshman middle blocker Elyssia Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) had seven.

Junior setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) contributed 29 assists, six digs, and three aces. Senior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) posted a match-high 15 digs

Grace Giza had 12 kills to lead the Huskies.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 4 p.m. match.
