Shippensburg Edges Shepherd Women’s Soccer

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – K.K. O'Donnell scored on a corner kick at the 66:40 mark to lift Shippensburg a 2-1 win over Shepherd University in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon.

Shippensburg took a 1-0 lead when Allie Christman scored on assists from Mara Bowman and Lauren Ocker at 16:03 mark.

Junior midfielder Emma Bernardoni (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) scored for the Rams on a free kick at the 29:55 mark to tie the game at 1-1.

Shippensburg had a 22-13 advantage in shots and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeepers Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (1 save, 1 GA) and Meghan Byers (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring) (6 saves, 1 GA)  combined for seven saves for the Rams. Delaney Shifflett  had seven saves for the Raiders.

The Rams return to conference action on Saturday when they travel to West Chester for a noon contest.
