WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Jenna Peters scored two goals and assisted on another to lead West Chester (3-0-0, 2-0-0 PSAC) a 4-1 win over Shepherd University (0-2-1, 0-2-0 PSAC) in PSAC East women's soccer action at West Chester on Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, Shepherd took a 1-0 at the 55:37 mark when freshman forward/midfielder Sara Hohn (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) scored on a pass from freshman defender Sydney Cauffman (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood).
West Chester responded with four unanswered goals as Hannah Zach and Jenny Bail tallied single goals before Peters scored the final two games.
West Chester had a 23-5 advantage in shots and a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeepers Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (7 saves, 0 GA) and Meghan Byers (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring) (3 saves, 4 GA) combined for 10 saves for the Rams. Brooke Myers had four saves for the Golden Rams.
The Rams return to conference action on Wednesday when they host Kutztown for a 3:30 p.m. match.
