Kutztown Downs Shepherd Women’s Soccer

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Emily Zwiercan scored on a pass from Kristina Miller at the 72:35 mark to break a scoreless tie and lift Kutztown (2-2-0, 1-2-0 PSAC) a 1-0 win over Shepherd University (0-3-1, 0-3-0 PSAC) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon.

The Golden Bears had a 19-4 advantage in shots and a 10-3 edge in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeepers Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (1 saves, 0 GA) and Meghan Byers (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring) (4 saves, 1 GA) combined for five saves for the Rams. Jenna Bracken did not record a save in goal for the Golden Bears.

The Rams return to conference action on Saturday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 7 p.m. match.
