BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Kutztown (5-1-0, 4-1-0 PSAC East) posted a 4-0 win over Shepherd University (0-4-1, 0-4-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon.
Bloomsburg took a 2-0 lead into halftime behind first half goals from Lauren Hoelke and Alex Burrows.
The Huskies added goals from Natalie Holmes and Mackenzie Gebhardt in the second half.
Bloomsburg had a 25-3 advantage in shots and a 9-0 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeepers Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (5 saves, 3 GA), Serafina Maerten (Martinsburg, W.Va./Spring Mills) (1 save 0 GA), and Meghan Byers (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring) (2 saves, 1 GA) combined for eight saves for the Rams. Jenna Hawkins (0 saves) and Riley Spingler (1 save) combined on a shutout for the Huskies.
The Rams return to conference action on Wednesday when they host Shippensburg at 1 p.m.
