SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Lexy Biller and Carly Fedorowski each scored three goals to lead #3/1 Lindenwood (7-1) to an 18-2 win over Shepherd (3-1) in women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Sunday.
Callie Eldred, Aleksa Allen, Erin McGuire, and Paige Sutton each added a pair of goals for the Lions.
Sophomore defender/midfielder Paige Alexander (Ashburn, Va./Briar Woods) and junior attacker Sidney Kelly (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) each scored a goal for the Rams. Kelly added a team-high three draw controls.
Lindenwood had an 11-1 advantage at halftime.
Sophomore goalkeeper Hailey Bennett (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) recorded nine saves for the Rams. Eleanor Kast posted six saves for the Lions.
Lindenwood had a 34-17 edge in shots and had a 21-11 advantage in ground balls. Lindenwood had a 15-7 edge in draw controls. Shepherd was 9-of-14 in clears, while Lindenwood was 19-of-21.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 4 p.m. contest.
