WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester (8-2-1, 8-2-1 PSAC East) had four different players score goals en route a 4-2 win over Shepherd University (2-8-1, 1-8-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday.
West Chester had a 3-1 lead at the break behind first-half goals from Maggie Lena, Julia Raybold, and Kailynn Haughey.
Sophomore midfielder/forward Paris Kimbrell (Martinsburg, W.Va./Hedgesville) scored the game's first goal at the 2:17 mark for the Rams on an assist from freshman midfielder Delaney Bittner (York, Pa./Red Lion Area Senior).
Olivia Ancone added a second-half goal for the Marauders.
Kimbrell completed the scoring when Kimbrell scored on a feed from Bittner at the 83:31 mark.
Senior Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) had six saves in goal for the Rams. Hayley McGee (4) and Audrey Schweizerhof (2) combined for six saves for the Huskies.
West Chester had a 19-10 advantage in shots and a 10-8 edge in shots on goal. The Huskies had a 5-2 advantage corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 7 p.m. contest.
