Bloomsburg Edges Shepherd Women’s Soccer

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. –  Bloomsburg (10-3-1, 9-2-1 PSAC East) posted a 1-0 win over Shepherd University (2-9-1, 1-9-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Wednesday night. 

After a scoreless first half, Lauren Bull scored an unassisted goal at the 51:36 mark to give the Huskies the win. Bloomsburg is ranked fourth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings. 

Senior Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) had eight saves in goal for the Rams. Alexa Ryan did not record a save in goal for the Huskies. 

Bloomsburg had a 22-0 advantage in shots and a 9-0 edge in shots on goal. The Huskies had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Mansfield for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
