BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Bloomsburg (9-5-0, 4-4-0 PSAC East) recorded a 3-1 win over Shepherd (1-13-0, 0-8-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Wednesday.
Kacper Grycel scored on a pass from Alex Wilsterman at the :28 mark to give Bloomsburg a 1-0 lead.
The Huskies took a 2-0 advantage into the break when Sammie Ames scored on an assist from Wilsterman at the 12:19 mark.
Bloomsburg opened the second half scoring on a goal by Liam Harmon at the 50:15 mark.
Shepherd got on the scoreboard when senior forward Carlos Castillo (Columbia/Blue Ridge CC) scored an unassisted goal at the 58:55 mark.
Sophomore netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded five saves for the Rams. Nathan Slotnick (0 saves, 1 GA, in 59 minutes) and Nolan Michaels (3 saves, 0 GA in 31 minutes) combined for three saves for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg had an 18-8 advantage in shots with an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. The Huskies had a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Shippensburg for a 1 p.m. contest.
