SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd (2-13-0, 1-8-0 PSAC East) handed Shippensburg a 2-1 setback in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead when senior forward Carlos Castillo (Columbia/Blue Ridge CC) scored an unassisted goal at the 34:04 mark.
Shippensburg tied the game on a goal by Ashton Davies at the 48:22 mark.
Junior forward Bido Elmasry (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) scored at the 88:07 mark to lift the Rams to victory.
Sophomore netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded five saves for the Rams. Wood stopped a penalty kick in the game's final minute to seal the win for the Rams. Ryan Glenlast posted four saves for the Raiders.
Shippensburg had a 10-9 advantage in shots with Shepherd holding a 7-6 edge in shots on goal. The Raiders had an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 5 p.m. contest.
