SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (16-1, 5-0 PSAC East) downed Millersville (6-14, 1-4 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday. The Rams recorded a 26-24, 25-13, 25-21 victory. Shepherd increased its win streak to 15 matches.
Sophomore outside hitter Mikaylah Hoy (Sharpsburg, Md./Heritage Academy) had 13 kills, 13 digs, and two aces to lead the Rams. Junior outside hitter Kiara Rakestraw (Uhrichsville, Ohio/Indian Valley) added five kills and 12 digs,
Sophomore setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) recorded 25 assists and 12 digs. Senior middle hitter Georgia Ohmke (Falls Church, Va./Justice) had six blocks, while junior middle blocker Elyssia Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) added five.
Emily Hoffman and Caitlyn Callahan each had 10 kills to lead the Marauders. Emma Ludwig added 27 assists and 11 digs
The Rams return to action next Friday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 7 p.m. match.
