Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Falls to 11th-Ranked East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Hana Cicerelle and Emily Mitarotonda  each scored four goals to lead 11th-ranked East Stroudsburg (4-1, 3-1 PSAC East) to a 20-4 win over Shepherd (2-2, 2-2 PSAC East) in PSAC women's lacrosse action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday. 

Senior attacker Sidney Kelly (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) and freshman attacker Sam Lassahn (Baltimore, Md./Concordia Prep) each had a goal and an assist to lead the Rams. Junior midfielder Maggie Luzier (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro/St. Francis) and junior midfielder Kira Barth (Sykesville, Md./Century) each added a goal. 

Gianna Leduc and Shannon Dent added three goals each for the Warriors. 

Junior goalkeeper Hailey Bennett (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) recorded 18 saves for the Rams. Tatyana Petteway (4), Mckenzie Gaghan (2), and Kate McKay (2) combined for recorded eight saves for the Warriors 

East Stroudsburg had a 47-17 advantage in shots. East Stroudsburg was 16-of-18 in clears, while Shepherd was 9-of-19. The Warriors had a 13-12 edge in draw controls and a 24-12 advantage in ground balls. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to face fifth-ranked West Chester for a 4 p.m. contest.
