BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Anna Dempsey scored four goals and Kelsey Kilgallon and Abby Bergman each added three to lead Bloomsburg (5-3, 5-3 PSAC East) to a 15-11 win over Shepherd (3-5, 3-5 PSAC East) in PSAC women's lacrosse action at Bloomsburg on Saturday.
Junior midfielder
Makenna Luzier (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro/St. Francis) had three goals and an assist to lead Shepherd. Senior attacker
Sidney Kelly (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) added two goals and three assists.
Freshman attacker
Sam Lassahn (Baltimore, Md./Concordia Prep) had two goals and an assist, while junior midfielder
Katherine Campbell (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill), freshman midfielder
Kaiya Edwards (Brogue, Pa./Red Lion), and junior midfielder/defender
Paige Alexander (Ashburn, Va./Briar Woods) each netted a goal.
Bloomsburg had a 6-4 lead at halftime.
Junior goalkeeper
Hailey Bennett (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) recorded 11 saves for the Rams. Angela DiPasquale recorded six saves for the Huskies.
Shepherd had a 34-22 edge in shots. Bloomsburg was 21-of-24 in clears, while Shepherd was 18-of-27. Bloomsburg had a 15-13 edge in draw controls and a 26-23 advantage in ground balls.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Shippensburg for a 4 p.m. contest.
