INDIANA, Pa. -- The Shepherd University men's golf team carded a first day total of 294 to rank second in a nine-team field at the Cecil Spadafora Invitational at the Indiana Country Club on Monday. Host Indiana (Pa.) shot a 293 to lead the Rams by one stroke. 

The Rams are led by sophomore Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) who shot a 71 to tie for second place. He was followed by graduate student Owen Elliott (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) (73, T-8th), junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (74, T-16th), junior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) (76, T-26th), and junior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (80, T-44th). 

The Rams return to action on Tuesday for final round action
