LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Shepherd University (4-1) recorded a 3-0 win over Lincoln University (0-2) at Lincoln on Friday night. The Rams posted a 25-10, 25-9, 25-11 victory. 

Sophomore outside hitter Mikaylah Hoy (Sharpsburg, Md./Heritage Academy) and junior middle blocker Elyssia Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) each had seven kills to pace the Rams. 

Junior outside hitter Kiara Rakestraw (Uhrichsville, Ohio/Indian Valley) contributed four aces, four kills, three blocks, and three digs. Sophomore setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) added 23 assists and five digs. 

Haley Loper posted five kills and Jaida Lumpkin added seven assists and three digs for the Lions. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Goldey-Beacom to face Goldey-Beacom at noon and Mercy at 2 p.m.
