SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (1-2-0, 0-1-0 PSAC East) dropped a 3-0 decision to West Chester (1-0-1, 1-0-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday afternoon.
Madison Bowman and Kaitlynn Haughey each scored first-half goals to give the Golden Rams a 2-0 lead at the break.
West Chester added a second-half goal from Lauren Corless.
Senior Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (2 GA, 3 saves, 45:00) and sophomore Faith Geraci (Keedysville, Md./Boonsboro) (1 GA, 1 save, 45:00) combined for four saves in goal for the Rams. Hayley McGee did not record a save in a shutout effort for the Golden Rams.
West Chester had a 12-2 advantage in shots. Corner kicks were even at two apiece.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Kutztown for a 7 p.m. contest.
