ERIE, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 628 to finish ninth in a 12-team field at the Mercyhurst Invitational at the Lake View Country Club. Gannon took the team title with a two-day total of 583. Mitch Hoffman of Charleston took medalist honors with a 143. 

Sophomore Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) shot a 149 to tie for 14th to lead the Rams. He was followed by senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va.) (159, T-52nd), senior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) (159, T-52nd), junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (161, T-56th), and freshman Koke Dolce (Spicewood, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic Academy) (172, T-70th). 

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to the Gannon Fall Classic.
