SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Slippery Rock (3-2-2) recorded a 2-0 win over Shepherd (1-6-0) in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday. 

The Rock took a 1-0 lead into the break on a goal by Joey Moeller on a feed from Anthony Gagliardi II at the 24:36 mark. 

Slippery Rock added a second-half goal when Mo Kanani scored on a feed from Alejandro Fernandez at the 62:56 mark. 

Sophomore netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport)  recorded six saves for the Rams. Hossam Aly posted three saves for Slippery Rock. 

Slippery Rock had a 13-7 edge in shots with a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. The Rock had a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host West Chester for a 3:30 p.m. match.
