ROANOKE, W.Va. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 633 and finished in 11th place in a 16-team field at the Davis & Elkins Invitational at the Stonewall Resort. Host Davis & Elkins took the team title with a 590. Mitch Hoffman of Charleston fired a 141 to take medalist honors.
Senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va.) fired a two-day total of 148 to tie for sixth place to pace the Rams. He was followed by senior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) (156, T-31st), sophomore Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (164, T-57th), junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (166, T-66th), and freshman Koke Dolce (Spicewood, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic Academy) (171, 78th).
The Rams return to action on Oct. 14 when they travel to the PSAC Championships in Hershey, Pa.
