MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Christian Vorchheimer scored a pair of goals to lead Millersville (7-3-4, 4-2-3 PSAC East) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (1-8-5, 0-6-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Millersville on Wednesday evening.
After a scoreless first half, Vorchheimer opened the second half scoring on an assist from Zander Leik at the 58:49 mark.
Vorchheimer added an unassisted tally less than a minute later to give the Marauders a 2-0 advantage.
Aaron Maynard scored on a pass from Mike Kreider at the 74:29 mark for the game's final goal.
Senior Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded nine saves in goal for the Rams. Bobby Bosch (77:35, 0 saves) and Travis Holiday (12:25, 0 saves) teamed for a shutout effort for the Marauders.
Millersville had a 26-6 edge in shots with a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Marauders had a 9-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Shippensburg for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
