Shepherd Women’s Soccer Edged by Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –  Shippensburg (4-5-4, 4-4-4 PSAC East) recorded a 1-0 win over Shepherd University (4-6-4, 3-6-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shippensburg on Wednesday. 

Alyse Caffrey scored on an assist from Alexis Worley at the 11:15 mark for the game's only goal. 

Shepherd had a 17-11 advantage in shots with an 8-7 edge in shots on goal. Corner kicks were even at five apiece.

Sophomore Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded six saves in goal for the Rams. Morgan Molyneaux posted eight saves for the Raiders.   

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 1 p.m. contest.
