GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a first round total of 304 to tie for fourth place in a 12-team field at the Hal Hansen Invitational at the Grove City Country Club. Grove City College held the first round lead with a 300.

The Rams were led by senior Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) and freshman Morgan Dehoff (Rohersville, Md./Boonsboro)  who each shot a 75 to tie for eighth place. They were followed by senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington, D.C.) (76, T-14th), freshman Nop Satijavitisarn (Yannawa Bankok, Thailand/International Community School) (78, T-33rd), and freshman Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (82, T-52nd).

The Rams return to action on Monday for final round action.
