EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (15-6, 7-2 PSAC East) downed East Stroudsburg (12-10, 6-3 PSAC East) in five sets in PSAC East volleyball action at East Stroudsburg on Friday night. The Rams gained a 25-16, 25-19, 13-25, 16-25, 15-13 victory to increase their win streak to seven matches. 

Shepherd rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the final set to capture the win. 

Senior outside hitter Mikaylah Hoy (Sharpsburg, Md./Heritage Academy) had 19 kills and 12 digs to pace the Rams. Sophomore middle blocker Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) added 12 kills, while sophomore middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire) had a match-high six blocks (five solos) to go along with nine kills.   

Junior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) added 43 assists and five digs. Redshirt-sophomore libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) contributed a match-high four aces and 26 digs. 

Claire Choloux had 20 kills and 14 digs to lead the Warriors. Kaylee LoPresto added 14 kills and 16 digs, while Makayla Baca had 26 digs to tie Ellis for game-high honors. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Kutztown for a 2 p.m. match.
