LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Samuel Hershey scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Lock Haven (6-7-5, 4-4-4 PSAC East) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (1-10-6, 0-8-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Lock Haven on Wednesday evening.
The Bald Eagles took a 1-0 advantage when Zane Puhala scored on a pass from Connor Swope at the 24:38 mark.
Samuel Hershey added an unassisted goal at the 38:39 mark to give Lock Haven a 2-0 lead at the half.
Davis Dull scored at the 48:32 mark on an assist from Hershey.
Junior Christian Blazes (Hagerstown, Md./Heritage Academy/Hagerstown CC) recorded eight saves in goal for the Rams. Aitor Ruiz De Eguilaz (88:00, 2 saves) and Brady Freiwald (2:00, 0 saves) teamed for the shutout effort for the Bald Eagles.
Lock Haven had a 22-5 edge in shots with an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Bald Eagles had a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host West Chester for Senior Day at 3:30 p.m.
