BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (18-6, 10-2 PSAC East) defeated Bloomsburg (5-20, 3-9 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at Bloomsburg on Saturday. The Rams gained a 25-22, 25-12, 25-22 victory to post their 10th straight victory. 

Senior outside hitter Mikaylah Hoy (Sharpsburg, Md./Heritage Academy) had 16 kills and eight digs with a .467 attack percentage to lead the Rams. Sophomore middle blocker Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) added 15 kills with a .364 attack percentage. Freshman middle hitter Jianna Scott (Bolivar, N.Y./Bolivar-Richmond) topped the Rams with five blocks (one solo). 

Junior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) added 36 assists and eight digs. Redshirt-sophomore libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) recorded 20 digs and five assists. 

Sydney Buell had eight kills and five digs to lead the Huskies. Brooke Kratzer added 14 assists and 12 digs. 

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host West Chester for Senior Night at 7 p.m.
