SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (12-6, 4-2 PSAC East) swept Lock Haven (1-16, 1-5 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night. The Rams gained a 25-13, 25-21, 25-21 win to up their win streak to four matches.
Senior outside hitter Mikaylah Hoy (Sharpsburg, Md./Heritage Academy) had eight kills, while sophomore middle blocker Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy), junior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin), and sophomore middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire) each added seven.
Nicholes also contributed 18 assists and two aces and Killough posted a match-high six blocks (one solo). Redshirt-sophomore libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) recorded 11 digs.
Gabriela Fialova recorded 11 kills and nine digs to pace the Bald Eagles. Kelly Gaston added 21 assists and four digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Bloomsburg for a 4 p.m. match.
